Brendan Thompson, Portlaoise Road, Portarlington, passed away peacefully at Oakdale Nursing Home, surrounded by his four loving sons. Predeceased by his wife Eileen and brother Cyril. Sadly, missed by his sons Brian, David, Paul and Kevin, daughters-in-law Grainne and Aisling, son-in-law Ben, grandchildren Brendan, Cora and Alex. Sadly, missed by his brothers Kieran and Kevin, sister Mary (Wheeler), sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
Due to government advice regarding public gatherings, a private funeral Mass will take place for family (maximum 10 persons). Those who would have liked to attend, but due to current restrictions cannot, please leave a personal message in the ‘Condolences’ section below. People are welcome to stand along the route to the Church, and Cemetery with Social Distancing being observed at all times. Brendan’s funeral cortège will leave his home at 11.45am on Sunday (21st February) to arrive at St. Michael’s Church, Portarlington for Requiem Mass at 12.15 pm, followed by burial in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Portarlington.
